KIMBERLEY
Western Australia
|
The natural beauty of the
Kimberley region in Australia's north-west is breathtaking. The half a
million square kilometres of land has a rich and valuable history.
This amazing sketching tour
takes us through some of the most stunning and unique scenery in
Australia.
Starting in Broome with its
uncrowded and pristine beaches, we spend a day exploring the town before
travelling to Derby. Here we see the Prison Tree and find time for
sketching the incredible landscape.

Driving to the quaint old town
of Fitzroy Crossing, located on the riverbank, we enjoy a cruise
on the magnificent Geikie Gorge. After an overnight stay, we
travel to the Bungle Bungles Ranges in the Purnululu National Park. They
were created about 350 million years ago and we have ample time to
explore and sketch in the area.
We visit Halls Creek, the Ord
River, the Echidna Chasm and Cathedral Gorge. |

The serenity and beauty of El
Questro is our next port of call. We can swim at Zebedee Springs, a hot
thermal pool in an oasis, and experience the majestic Chamberlain Gorge
before watching the unbelievable and spiritual experience of the sunset.
After crossing the Pentecost
River we sketch some famous scenes of the Kimberley, and finally our
tour ends in Kununurra.
