India Tour

From Delhi in the north, to Cochin in the south, we explore and sketch many unique aspects of life in India. We visit the Taj Mahal, see the flora and fauna of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and spend a night aboard a luxury rice boat. Floating through the sleepy backwaters, we experience and sketch Indian villages on small islands, water buffalo and floating markets.

Some Highlights

What could be more stunning than seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise? Or travelling into the high mountain area at the Cardamon Hills, where we visit rice, spice and tea plantations and view the lush tropical vegetation.

Wild elephants can be seen at the nearby Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in their natural environment and a sunset boat ride reveals untamed animals coming to drink at the waterside.

In Cochin, where we stay at the Old Fort area, and sketch the famous fishing nets at sunset and enjoy the wonderful local seafood.
